Is it easy to navigate around the city? Yes very easy. As with other German cities, the S-Bahn and U-Bahn takes you to most places you would want to go to in their city. 2
 
Hostels and Hotels (few, many, tons): Plenty. We stayed with an AirBnB accommodation. 2

Best part of the city? Miniatur Wunderland. Remember Reverend Lovejoy from the Simpsons and his model train setup he was always fiddling with? Same idea but on a bigger scale in Hamburg and now its a entertainment place for adults and kids.
 
Interesting Fact: The locals are called Hamburgers, likely leading to the origin of the name for a pretty famous patty and bun meal.
 
Is it a good travel destination for young adventurers? Yes. Hamburg has a famous red-light district called Reeperbahn, now gentrified somewhat and has become popular for its night life. 2
 
Climate: We went in November - it was cold and windy.

Would you live there forever? Yes. Hamburg is a buzzing city for jobs, people and a good quality of life.  
 
Any funny experiences whilst you were there? One evening we went to the Rathaus or town-hall and inside was a German schools event. Between the live music and dance performances, there were plenty of student posters protesting against racism. We couldn't read anything but we sure support this!
