Places an importance for students to find the correct career route with broad based study options.
Students must have a passion for rugby (player, coach, referee or game analyst) and be open to combine it with other (academic/skilled) courses.
We want to develop a generation of students into the market that have an advantage over other students.
A generation equipped with relevant qualifications plus sufficient practical experience.
Academic Support program: Includes staff members as mentors for students, training sessions, contact sessions and attendance stats on our website (all weekly).
From training to studying to qualifying, SRA has created a platform of courses to pursue a career in the field of Rugby.
Courses:
Professional Rugby Coaching programme (SRA)
Sport Management (UNISA)
UNISA courses: Teaching qualification (BEd) or other qualifications
Matric exemption
Other qualifications – various extra courses are offered via institutions such as UNISA and the University of Stellenbosch.

- Student loans are subject to accredited courses offered at Stellenbosch Rugby Academy. These can be arranged through relevant banks in South Africa.
- Stellenbosch Rugby Academy offers a merit based rugby bursary – dependant on the quality of the player.
