The Young Talent in Construction Programme takes place on Saturday, 2 November 2013. Different institutes, NGOs and associations are presenting a series of workshops especially designed to help young people find a suitable career in the construction industry – be it academic or practical. The workshops help students and graduates to get an overview of different career opportunities and provide free career advice. The participating organizations include Go for Gold, Master Builders Association Western Cape, the Young Contractors Forum and various affiliates of the Institute of Interior Design.
A recruitment corner where courses, graduate programmes and vacancies are listed, introduces young people to the latest career opportunities in the building and construction industry. Furthermore, plenty of networking opportunities on that day allow school leavers and graduates to get in touch with the industry and to kick start their career.
The Cape Construction Expo is held from 31 October – 2 November at the Cape Town Convention Centre and is dedicated exclusively to the building and construction industry in the Western Cape. The forum brings together construction professionals such as architects of different backgrounds, engineers and building contractors; suppliers, government representatives and investors. Working together to shape the Western Cape’s Future is the event’s motto; Cape Construction Expo is striving to be the knowledge and networking platform for the building and construction industry of the Western Cape.
