Where on the planet are you currently located: Auckland, New Zealand
So you are graphic designer slash down hill mountain biker how did you go about achieving that career path, (talk about where you studied and what motivated you to choose this career):
Well… it’s pretty random, I’ve started studying Engineering Design in 2000 but not for too long, after one year I left the university and took a gap year in my country until I decided to go to USA in 2002 where I’ve learned English and rode my bike almost every day (no school at all).  All this time off was enough to realize what I wanted to do, what I really wanted to study and that was Advertising and Graphic design, so I started all over again in 2003 in Medellin, Colombia the City where I was born. Creativity it’s always been in me, creating, wondering, imagination, guessing, asking, looking, expressing and so on…

Advertising and graphic designs for me are the best way to express and show everyone all of that stuff that you got inside of you and that you want to share with the world.

What’s a typical working day for you:
Well I wake up every morning at 8 and go to work from 9am to 6 Pm, funny thing is that now I am working in a Mountain bike shop, bikes are my passion and I am learning a lot about the business. My future for sure has got to be involved with bikes so I am planning a way to put them together, not easy but possible. Nobody said that to get a perfect life was easy, but if you don’t try you will never know! If you want to succeed you have to take the chance between failure and success! I’ll take that chance! (FirstStep.me says good stuff!)
All careers have challenges, what would you say are some of yours:
Like I just said, putting together my two passions, is going to be a huge task. How am I going to do that? Well I am working on a project of putting together and establishing a mountain biking magazine in Colombia, its my home country and nothing of this nature currently exists there at the moment. Its quite exiting and using what I have learnt in graphic design along with my passion for mountain biking I think will provide a great platform for me to execute my creative ambitions.
Where do you see yourself in five years time:
Not sure but always very happy to be doing what I want, hopefully be in Colombia with my own business running by itself and riding on my bike almost every day… oh and never forget that with a good company, a beautiful girl has got to be around! (FirstStep.me says: We like your priorities!)
Do you believe in studying as a key to success in all careers:
I think that studying is a good way towards success but one needs PASSION to motivate it!
Passion leads you to places and questions ahead of everything, passion puts you beyond the line of everyone else.
Do you have any career role models that helped motivate your success:
Not really, but I am inspired by some characters I have met in real life or athletes whom have achieved great things and then of course the fictional one’s in movies! (FirstStep.me notes: well he isn't a Private Investigator so that rules out Magnum P.I.)
Highlights of your career so far:
Setting up my career on my own instead of having a career set me up…its about controlling your destiny and your life at the end of the day!
Funniest moment of your career so far:
Actually nothing hilarious but printing one thousand invitation cards with a mistake on the date. (It wasn’t really funny for my boss at the place where I was working)
Okay serious questions over:
If you weren’t an advertiser you would be an actor (maybe).
Country-Colombia other than that it would be the USA (I know that not everyone likes it but I do)
City- Medellin
Food-Fries and Meat
Movie- Rocky (Passionate, Noble) and Back to the Future (Vision, creativity, dreaming)
Book-Hum… Mountain bike mag’s? (maybe) Hahaha…
