Destination: Mont Saint Michel, France
Interesting website for the island: ot-montsaintmichel.com

Is it easy to navigate around? Too easy, it is a tiny peninsula with very few streets. 2

Hostels and Hotels (few, many, tons): Not many, and likely expensive. This can be done as a day trip from other cities in France such as Paris or Saint-Malo. 0.5

Best part of the island? The view from the road leading into it. Like many other amazing views the view is lost when you get too close. So make sure you take time in your approach to this fantastic spot.

Interesting Fact: It experiences some of the biggest tidal fluctuations (in Europe) in the estuary around its peninsula. This means you can't wade in there because the sand is soft and you might get stuck. Deaths are not unheard of!

Is it a good travel destination for young adventures? Absolutely. You will be amazed by how the architecture fits so beautifully on the peninsula, you'd think even the land was man-made. Once you get there, it is free to enter the town. However the shops are expensive. 2

Climate: It is Northern France and is exposed to the English channel, so expect a lot of wind and rain.

Would you live there forever? Not sure if that is possible, it is such a tiny place I doubt the shop owners even live there.

Any funny experiences whilst you were there? I took most of my photos before I entered the town, but the lighting was terrible as it was grey – just my luck. By the time I had gotten into the town and its highest-most point, the sun came out! I had to walk all the way back out again to re-take the same photos but they were so much prettier.

Points: 4.5 out of 6
Rating out of ten: 7.5 It is a day trip from wherever you might be and a long one at that. The shops there are expensive and touristy.
