Being a Superhero is not a profession; rather, it is a calling. Battling with enemies that only the limitless stretches of imagination can even conceive of, is no easy task, and finding the time to recuperate is even less unlikely, when one has to still adhere to a normal, day to day, earthly, lifestyle. Paying the daily bills, and managing to keep up appearances to distract from one's moonlighting escapades, is all about maintaining a balanced career. We checked out which Superhero has the coolest, everyday career!
1. The Rock Star Industrialist – Iron Man:
A powerful, resourceful superhero, the man inside this suit of Armour is, of course, Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark. Famed businessman and industrialist, his suave, rakish, debonair and rock star like attitude towards his chosen careers, have managed to escalate his status far beyond being a just a mortal superhero. Money, along with the ability to save planets, together, are an awesome combination, undoubtedly leaving other superheroes gushing with jealously. Find out more about Iron Man!
2. The Scientist – The Hulk:
Understanding the way things work, in a controlled environment, is the norm for a scientist. However, trying to prevent oneself from becoming an incredible, grumpy, green monster is not so common. Dr Robert Bruce Banner faces this daily balancing act, with incredible restraint, patience and fortitude. However, his daily work, as a scientist, is ground breaking, as he searches for a remedy to manage his superpowers. Find out more about The Hulk here!

3. A Geneticist – Beast:
Probably taking up the number three position because his fur is blue, compared to the rich green hue of The Hulk, Dr Henry "Hank" P. McCoy is an incredible mixture of brains and brawn. Born as a mutant, his powers naturally gave him a head-start on most mortals; however, his appearance brought forth challenges, which required common sense, rather than brute strength, to handle. His abilities and achievements, as a geneticist, illustrate that intelligence is its own superpower! Find out more about the Beast here!
4. The Medical Doctor, with the powers of a God – Thor:
This hammer wielding, God of Thunder, is also known on earth as Donald M. Blake, and spent time practising as a surgeon. Along with teachers, this planet needs good doctors, and anyone who can defend his home, in this case, the illustrious Asgaard, while also possessing the skills to heal a person, totally deserves respect and commendation! 5. The photographer who grabs the headlines – Spider-Man:
An indomitable, never quit attitude is always a positive attribute, against any obstacle. Employed by an editor who never likes to pay, Peter Parker always seems to be returning to the Daily Bugle, hoping for a better pay-day! His strategy is to use his Spider-Man persona to grab the headlines and readers' attention. Though the praise and recognition he receives is not even close to what his alter ego deserves, being a photographer does pay the bills, along with providing some much needed media coverage for his heroic crime fighting antics! From an uber cool, rich businessman, to the impoverished but determined photographer, the life of a superhero is not all about saving the world, and fighting off bad guys. These serve as metaphors; they're also about living a normal life, making the most of your attributes and opportunities, and creating change, without the aid of a superhero power. If they can do it, with their busy schedules, competing loves, and veritable armies of baddies, ranged up against them on all sides, surely we, mere mortals, can to do so, too!
